Limited Edition Pigment Prints

Read more about my limited edition prints and the work that goes on behind the scenes to make each print something I’m proud to hang on my own wall, and honoured to hang on yours.

Each limited edition print is prepared with a white border to make the job of framing much easier.

My photographs are available as limited edition pigment ink prints at 11 x 14 inches and 16 x 20 inches. I also offer highly-limited special edition large format prints at sizes up to 44 inches along the shortest edge.

All of my prints are produced with archival pigment inks on either Hahnemuhle German Etching or Hahnemuhle Photorag paper. I chose these papers because they complement the photographs well.

For images that have richer tones, I prefer to use German Etching. At 310gsm, it is a heavyweight paper and has a slightly warm base tone, as well as a strong mottled texture. It creates prints with strong colours and deep blacks that feel rich and high in contrast. Perfect for photographs rich in contrast.

For those images that are more muted in tone, I use Hahnemuhle’s Photorag paper. This paper is a slightly lighter stock at 308gsm, but gives muted blacks with even colour reproduction, and excellent detail. It is perfect for misty scenes with subtle, muted colours.

My standard prints are produced in my office using a professional Canon printer, while large special edition prints are produced on large format Epson printers at The Print Space in Shoreditch, London.

I have been working with The Print Space for the last 9 years. The prints they produce are consistent and of the highest quality; I could not envisage using another supplier for large prints unless I had the facilities to produce them myself.

I work with pigment inks because of the longevity of the prints, and the control over print quality it affords.

Limited Edition Print Pricing

14″ x 11″ Limited Edition Print: from £89.00 (inc. VAT)

20″ x 16″ Limited Edition Print: from £159.00 (inc. vAT)

All limited edition prints are inspected by me personally. They are limited to a run of between 10 and 50 prints depending on the image and size. There are no more than two artist’s proofs at 14″ x 11″ or 20″ x 16″, and an 8″ x 10″ print for my display book.

The print includes an (approx.) half-inch white border to aid mounting and framing. The artwork is individually signed and numbered on the back with a graphite pencil and comes with an embossed certificate of authenticity.

Prints can be supplied mounted and ready for framing with a snow-white mat for an additional £26.00 (14″ x 11″) or £36.00 (20″ x 16″) to cover the production of the mat, mounting and increased shipping costs.

The mats are professionally produced by my preferred frame supplier and are produced in proportion to the image.

Each print is hand-signed and numbered.

Special Edition prints are available at sizes above 36” x 29”.

Special Edition Prints

In addition to my run of standard 14” x 11” and 20” x 16” limited edition prints, I also make some images available for my ultra-limited run of special editions. These are bespoke prints with an edition of just 5 prints. Sizes start at a minimum 36” x 29”, but the largest I have printed to date was an 8 feet wide 2x1 panorama.

The prints that are available as special editions are made available as either print only, ready for framing. At sizes larger than 36” x 29”, my preferred finishing method is a technique known as flush mounting.

This is where the print is mounted onto a solid 12mm MDF board, and treated with a water-resistant spray produced by the paper manufacturer. It creates a striking and unique look for your artwork, allowing you to bring the forest into your home.

Delivery & Framing

Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for your print to be produced and delivered to you.

Prints are covered with acid-free tissue paper before being carefully rolled and packed into a wide-diameter poster tube to protect them. Matted prints are carefully wrapped and then boxed.

I do offer framing services, but as there are many options, it is best to reach out to discuss your requirements. I offer a choice of frames and glazing. Both glazing options are museum quality plexiglass, with either a standard gallery finish or my preferred anti-glare finish.

If you wish to source your own frames, my mounted prints come with the following dimensions:

14″ x 11″ – 400 x 500mm mount

20″ x 16″ – 500 x 600mm mount

Do note that the aperture on the mat is slightly larger than the print to leave a small white border between the mat and the artwork.

Each print is hand-signed and numbered.
