Brocket Hall Estate, Hertfordshire

During the pandemic of 2020 and 2021, Brocket Hall became one of my local walks. It’s close to home, within walking distance, and after walking the estate I discovered opportunities to make images. The location is part golf course, part events venue, but has a few public footpaths cutting through it.

The current hall dates back to the 1800s, but the estate’s history dates back as far as the 1200s. As a result, the estate is home to large numbers of ancient trees, some of which I’ve been fortunate to photograph in wonderful conditions.
