Dawn Radiance - Limited Edition Print

from £89.00

An early rise is often a gamble - especially if the weather forecasts don’t agree with each other. As a woodland photographer, I’m often in search of that moment of magic and, with the bluebell season being a couple of weeks of peak bloom, the shot you’ve been planning for can elude you for years. On this particular morning, the weather forecasters had apparently agreed to disagree that there was a chance of mist, while another said it would be overcast. We had neither of those conditions - it was instead a cold, still morning with not a cloud in the sky. In most cases, harsh light doesn’t work for woodland photography - so my window of opportunity was in the moments before the sun rose above the treeline on a neighbouring woods, but where the reflected light from the sun was intense enough to introduce some soft, directional light into the scene.
