The Archway - Limited Edition Print

I have walked down this path for more than a decade. It’s an ancient ride that was a main thoroughfare between London and the North during the 1600s. Local knowledge plays a huge part in my photography, as I’m often banking ideas for images all the time - and often hold onto them for years, simply waiting for the ideal conditions. It’s often not until I arrive at a location that I decide where I’m going to head. On this particular morning, the skies to the east were clear, and so I headed to this scene to see the early morning glow on the canopy in the final minutes before the sun breaks over the horizon. The light is changing fast at this time of day, but being in the moment makes the experience almost therapeutic.
